Okay, so the big event finally happened! I went skydiving 2 Saturdays ago and it was amazing! I honestly feel like I could never describe what a thrill it was. There is simply nothing like jumping out of a plane and seeing the earth rush toward you. It was a three minute experience, but I feel like it happened so fast. I wasn't nervous at all before jumping; just very excited, and as soon as I landed, I was ready to go again. I love, love, loved it and will definitely repeat.
Marcos stayed on land and took a few pics, so here they are!
Here's me signing my life away and promising not to sue if I die.
Suiting up!
My jump instructor adjusting me...in awkward places. Lol.
Fully suited up!

Miscellaneous Updates
Here are a few updates on some things that will take a little time to accomplish:
#2: I have been working my butt off in the gym, eating well, and have lost 7 lbs so far. Well on my way to 30.
#5: For the most part, I only have only one diet soda a day. The weekends are the hardest to stick to it, but it's easier during the week. I just wish I liked the taste (or lack thereof) of water!
#6: FAIL. I don't do it nearly as much as I should and hate that the most important one I am failing epically on. Lord help me!
#16: So far so good. I tell my hubby I love him every day and haven't missed one yet.
#20: Not too many big events have happened so far, but we did host a couple of children from the International Children's Choir for a weekend and I made sure to get a picture of them with us. They were so sweet and inspiring...definitely touched a lot of people. Here's the pic of us and our new friends Ronald and Madan:

Item #8 Complete
Well it has been 2 weeks since I started my blog and I guess I should give an update. Believe it or not, I can now cross two items off of my list completely. Number 8 on my list was to surprise my husband in a big way. This last Saturday I accomplished just that. Marcos had to take a 2-day trip out of town for work, so I took advantage of that time to get together a HUGE surprise for him. What I did was transform our office space into his very own "man cave". Now he has been talking about having a "man cave" for quite some time, but I don't think it was something that he thought he could have any time soon. So, I cleaned out any girly items from the office and hung Star Wars movie posters on the walls. I also bought some glow-in-the-dark star decals to put on the walls to go along with the Star Wars theme. I also bought a Darth Vader throw and intended to buy a futon using a Groupon that I had, but that didn't happen just yet. Instead, I put a couple of air matresses together to represent the future futon. Finally, I traded in my Wii gaming system and bought him a PS3 (something he had REALLY been wanting) and a new 32" HDTV. Yes, I frantically put together all this in basically a Saturday morning. Of course he was VERY surprised...then concerned about how much I had spent...then the happy set in and I'm pretty sure he loves it now. Something told me he wouldn't be too mad about me spending a little on him. He rarely spends money on himself, so I'm glad I was able to do it and surprise him while I was at it. So #8 is officially complete and I have been nominated for wife of the year.
Here are some pics...wish I had gotten his surprise face though:

And thus it begins...
If you have ever seen the movie "The Bucket List" you will know that a bucket list is a list of things you would like to accomplish before you kick the bucket. Well this year I am turning 30 and in order to assuage some of the sting of it, I have made a sort of bucket list for myself. I have created a list of 30 things I would like to do in my 30th year of life. I would like to look back on this year and reflect that it was epic and wonderful instead of sad and depressing. Because, to be honest, I am not looking forward to my birthday at all. If I could, I would just erase February 8th from the calendar and pretend that it never happened. Since that isn't going to happen, I am going to make this a year to remember and blog about it for all of you. Happy New Year everyone! Here is to one freakin' fabulous year!
